With self-belief, the team played outstandingly well for the rest of the competition and won 7 of their games - our biggest win being 5-1 against St Anne Line! Undefeated, and with the winners trophy in our sight, the team had to beat Chapel Hill to win the competition but after a very close game, Team Phoenix secured the SILVER medal, scoring 22 points overall, and finishing 2nd place! Well done to everyone, you couldn't have played any better. We are unbelievably proud of you. Go Team Phoenix!

We played 5 games altogether with matches against Lee Chapel, Great Berry, Chapel Hill, Lincewood and Northlands. After finding our feet during the second match against Great Berry, the boys scored 3 baskets in the first half, with brilliant long distance shots from Vinny, and the girls secured a great 10-2 win by scoring 2 more baskets from our top shooter Mya. Using our positivity and determination from the last match, the team worked together to win 4-2 against Chapel Hill - with the girls scoring 2 baskets in the last few minutes of the match after being 2-0 down in the first half! What a great comeback! Our third game, against Lincewood, was another incredible effort from the team who continued to play with self-belief to secure our third win of the tournament, 8-0. With 3 wins out of 5 under our belt, it was a nail-biting wait to see whether Team Phoenix had finished on the podium... and we did!
